Mexico Cruise--Carnival Ecstasy

We took a 5-day cruise from Galveston, Texas on the Carnival Ecstasy cruise ship with stops in Cozumel and Progreso Mexico. This gallery is about the ship which I thought was beautiful. I especially liked the Grand Atrium at night with the blue and/or red lighting. We had a penthouse suite with a private balcony which was very nice.

  • We survived 10-foot seas and strong winds but we finally made it to Cozumel where we went to the "Discover Mexico" and "Chakanaab" tourist traps for our shore excursions.

  • Nina was almost kidnapped by this statue!  He did a great job of standing motionless but would pose for pictures, for a tip of course.  I don't know what he was painted with but it looked like real copper.  I guess he was the "Copper Bandit".
