  • Welcome to THE ROCK!  Okay, he didn't really say that but this Ranger was an excellent tour guide.  He had a wealth of knowledge and a great way of delivering it.

  • We learned that Al Capone arrived on Alcatraz BY TRAIN! We also learned "The Birdman of Alcatraz" never had birds on Alcatraz.  I'm shocked that Hollywood would fabricate such information...NOT!

  • The audio tour is an excellent way of touring the prison.  The sound alone is worth it.  I took my headphones off several times to see if the sound was on the recording or if people were yelling and walking around me!
