The Wyoming Territorial Prison is an interesting break for those traveling to, or through, Laramie. There are signs through-out the self guided tour that talk about many of the prisoners that were housed there. The thing I found most surprising is that many of them were doing time for murder but they received relatively small sentences. Many of those were commuted by the governor and released after only fraction of their sentences were served. I guess things haven't changed much... There were also many that escaped and were never found.
