Lake Texana State Park

We stopped by Lake Texana State Park to have a quick picnic and found it to be a nice park. We didn't have time to check out the trails but we did see several deer and some pretty water flowers. I'd like to go back sometime when I have more time. Seems like a nice "day use" park but there are a lot of campsites. There is swimming in the lake but there are plenty of signs warning swimmers do so at their own risk. I doubt I would ever swim there however because the lake is also home to alligators-we saw one about 5 feet long!
