Sequoia & King's Canyon National Parks

We visited Sequoia and King's Canyon National Parks in September 2009 and were found them both to be beautiful parks. I've included pictures from both in one gallery because they border each other and during the two days we drove through them, we would pass back and forth between the two parks and the Sequoia National Forest. I've always wanted to see the Giant Redwoods and they lived up to everything I imagined. I had never heard of King's Canyon National Park but found it to be one of the most beautiful places I've been. The road into the canyon rides along the side of the mountains and often has no shoulder and the drop-off from the road is often over 1000 feet high! I've included several images of the road that demonstrate just how dangerous it could be. Enjoy the images...

We returned in May 2010 but couldn't see too much of the park because snow was still blocking some of the roads at higher elevations. I added 7 pictures from that trip.
