Saguaro National Park

Saguaro National Park has two locations outside Tucson, Arizona-the East park and the West Park. We took time on our trip to visit the portion on the East side of Tucson on our way to California.

  • A Jack Rabbit stopped on the road ahead of us to scratch an itch.

  • This Desert Tortoise puts new meaning to the term "slow lane".  He was walking against traffic along the curb so after I took a few pictures of him on the road, I moved him off the road so he would not be run over.
  • I snapped a few more pictures after moving him away from the road.  The last time we saw him he was climbing up a hill away from the road.
