2006 Lone Star Rally

Although not a "Biker" or even a motorcycle owner, I look forward each year to the Lone Star Rally in Galveston, Texas. There are countless pictures waiting to be taken. The motorcycles and those that ride them are "unique". Each year about 250,000 people show up to enjoy the Rally. The amount of motorcycles concentrated in this one place is incredible. I hope the pictures in this gallery capture to a small degree what it is like to be there.

  • Seeing and being seen.
  • I think I'd be embarressed to ride down The Strand on that thing!
  • Another view from the elevated sidewalk.
  • There were at least a few Vikings in Attendance.
  • Pepe LePew was even able to make an appearence.
  • This guy has too much time on his hands. I think someone needs to take away his ink, and hire him a fashion consultant.
  • Nothing like a chocolate-covered strawberry to complete the biker experience. This was taken in The Chocolate Factory on The Strand. If you go there, try the chocolate-covered apples.

  • The Strand was PACKED with motorcycles and bikers of all sizes, shapes, and costumes. This is always my favorite place. AutoPano Pro helped me stitch 4 images together to create this picture. Looks best in "Original" size. Be sure to use the scroll bars to look up and down the street.
